R.A.L.F. stands for "Robotic Artificial Life Form", and he was built to educate kids about the environmental concerns that effect all of us. R.A.L.F. travels around the country doing presentations in classrooms and auditoriums letting everyone know how big a difference they can make by going green.
We worked with the Separation Technologies office in Roanoke to learn about their new robot and the needs of their website. Development was relatively quick at about four weeks from start to finish.
This project was a lot of fun, as we were able to build a colorful, playful website theme based around R.A.L.F's world. The graphics are cartoony, bright and cheerful, with animated menu links, audio effects, and a Flash based cartoon version of R.A.L.F. on the front page. We even customized some flash games to feature R.A.L.F and the "green" message express through the site.
Like the majority of our web design projects, R.A.L.F's site is built on our flexible, extensible content management system. The site owners are able to update their content when needed, but we are always there to provide backup as needed!
