Roanoke Regional Homebuilders' Association

The Roanoke Regional Homebuilders Association website was an interesting project that involved a lot of powerful features on a very short deadline. We used our typical Content Management System as the base for the site, then created a unique design/theme to compliment their existing style and logo. Some of the dynamic features of the site include:

Advanced Member Profile System - During registration, or any time after, RRHBA members can create a customized profile that displays their logo, business and contact information, and a mini photo gallery. Creation of the profile is simple, but we also created an easy to understand video tutorial to help members get the most from their profile. They can even modify the META tags for their specific profile, without any knowledge of HTML required.

Searchable Member Directory + Member Proximity Locator - The member directory links every single user profile into a searchable index that has glossary links, search options, and even a zip code proximity locator. Profiles also include automatic integration with Google Maps in a popup lightbox, for quick driving directions without leaving the RRHBA website. Definitely cool.

Membership and Committee Groups - One of the most difficult aspects of the website was providing a system for RRHBA staff to create private groups that members could join to discuss committee specific information.  Staff can quickly and easily create new groups, and a forum and calendar are automatically created for each committee. The committees can be public or private, ensuring that only authorized site members can view the material

Advertising and Banner System - The RRHBA website has a browser based tool for creating banner campaigns and displaying them in specific ad locations. Campaigns can be unlimited, or restricted to weeks or months based on each ad's settings.
